Water Gives Togetherness

A lack of water access nearby steals time from families, since they have to spend hours each day walking long distances to collect it. This lost time means families have less time to spend together. Families in the tiny mountainside community of San Isidro, Peru, experienced this firsthand.

The water committee president in San Isidro said everyone was so happy when the water system was completed, and they celebrated with a party! One of the main benefits was not having to walk to carry water anymore.

With a new water system that provides reliable drinking water to San Isidro, families like Luz’s have a better quality of life, which includes simply having more time to spend together. Luz says now that there’s water in the community, her family is happier than ever before.

Her kids Julia, Daniel, and Kimberly have more time to play in the fields surrounding their home. She has more time to care for their house and their animals. Their life is simple and sweet, and they like it that way.

Give water this season, and give families the gift of togetherness.

Why Don't We Fix Our Site for X Browser?

Essentially, Water For People is a non-profit and we would rather spend money on our causes instead of the very significant amount of money that it would cost us to design and maintain a website that works for legacy, unsupported browsers.
